SUPPORT

Eating Disorders Anonymous is self-supporting through its own contributions.  The only requirement for EDA membership is a desire to recover from an eating disorder.  There are no dues or fees for EDA membership.

EDA's primary purpose is to recover from our eating disorders and to carry this message of recovery to others with eating disorders.

In carrying the message of recovery, EDA incurs expenses, such as web hosting (we developed our own site), brochure and document duplication, and mailing costs.  We meet such expenses through voluntary contributions from EDA members.

We hope to establish a national hotline, make information about EDA more readily accessible to professionals who help people with eating disorders and continue our policy of free online literature.

If you would like to help EDA carry the message and you consider yourself an EDA member, you may send a voluntary contribution* to EDA by clicking the PayPal button below or with our 7th Tradition Contribution Form.

(If you belong to an EDA group, please ask the group to consider contributing a portion of its 7th Tradition collection to the General Service Board of EDA to help carry the message of recovery to others with eating disorders.)

When the Alcoholic Foundation (predecessor to AA's General Service Board) made the decision to decline outside contributions, someone remarked, "Finally, the irresponsible are becoming responsible!"  Let us, too, take responsibility for our own recovery and for carrying the message of recovery to others.

*The General Service Board of EDA, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (3)(c) corporation.
